U.S. Stem Cell Training Inc., is a multi-mode training company that offers educational courses on regenerative medicine. Our in-person and online training courses focus on the minimally invasive technique of harvesting adult, autologous stem cells from adipose tissue and bone marrow. We also provide training on Platelet Rich Plasma isolation techniques.
Ms. Comella is a world renowned expert on regenerative medicine with a focus on adipose derived stem cells. She was named number 24 on Terrapin’s list of the Top 50 Global Stem Cell Influencers and number 1 on the Academy of Regenerative Practices list of Top 10 Stem Cell Innovators.
Ms. Comella has pioneered stem cell therapies from various sources including cord blood, bone marrow, muscle, and adipose. She led the team that gained the first ever FDA approval for a clinical trial using a combined cell and gene therapy product in the heart. In addition to advanced cell culturing experience, Ms. Comella’s repertoire includes managing the development, manufacturing, and quality systems of cellular products. She has developed a wide range of regenerative techniques and products that have now been successfully implemented into the clinic setting.
Her professional experience includes positions in several companies including US Stem Cell (FKA Bioheart), Stemlogix, Tulane University and Osiris Therapeutics. Ms. Comella progressed from research engineer at Osiris Therapeutics developing stem cell therapies for osteoarthritis to building and managing the stem cell laboratory at Tulane University’s Center for Gene Therapy.
She was the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stemlogix, a regenerative medicine company focusing on veterinary medicine. She is currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer and board member of US Stem Cell, a publically traded company focusing on the discovery, development, and commercialization of autologous cell therapies for the treatment of degenerative diseases.
Ms. Comella is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Florida International University and holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
Michelle Parlo, PA-C
Michelle has been practicing as a Physician Assistant for 10 years, first in the area of Colorectal Surgery and then in Rheumatology. She has been involved with training Residents as well as being on the National Speakers Bureau for two international pharmaceutical companies. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Miami University in Ohio and Physician Assistant degree at Miami-Dade College.
Alex Perez, NP-C
Originally from Cuba, Dr. Alejandro Perez graduated from University of Havana Medical School in 1993 as a Doctor in Medicine. Since 2007, he has conducted innovative research on regenerative, cellular, aesthetic, and anti- aging medicine with a focus on adult stem cells (ASC) derived from bone marrow and adipose tissue. Dr. Perez has been actively working on ASC research to create new protocols for the optimization, isolation, and clinical application of cellular therapies for multiple chronic diseases. Dr. Perez trains national and foreign Medical Doctors on the extraction, isolation, and clinical applications of ASC. He also specializes in other aesthetic and antiaging areas such as Hormone Replacement Therapy, Dermal Fillers, and Adipose Tissue Transplant combined with ASC. He currently holds a National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Beatriz Palma-Zevallos, SA-C
Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, where she currently practices, Beatriz Palma-Zevallos is a medical doctor and surgeon graduated from Universidad del Norte in 2004. In 2007, Dr. B established her own company in Miami, Florida, Bella Body, Inc., and has been working in the US and Colombia as a consultant and trainer for a variety of international physicians.
She has been a trainer and speaker for the Aesthetic Fellowship of the American Academy of Anti-Aging and has written protocols and educational materials for various training programs including adipose derived stem cells, liposuction and fat grafting.
Her educational experience and expertise has kept her committed to learning the latest technology and advances in the field of cosmetic surgery and stem cell therapy.
